The Ekenywa Give the Gift of a Lifetime Holiday Giving Campaign kicks off on #GivingTuesday. You can double your contribution by making a donation on Facebook on Tuesday, December 1st, beginning at 8:00 AM Eastern Time.

This holiday season, it is more urgent than ever and we are hoping to give the gift of a lifetime to more than 200 children in Kenya, especially during this unprecedented time with the Covid-19 pandemic. A gift of $50 will provide a lifetime of water, and will help our efforts in delivering 10,000 liters of water to a school.

Whether a gift of $5 or $500, please consider making a gift this #GivingTuesday and doubling your impact!

The Uhuru Market Water Project is underway with the drilling of a borehole for a much-needed water source. It usually takes three days to develop the borehole, and for this project we ended at a depth of more than 750 feet (230 meters). The expected yield for this new safe and clean water source is more than 9,200 gallons (35,000 liters) per hour!

In addition to providing a clean and sustainable water source from the drilling of the borehole, the project will also provide drainage and sewage, the installation of a high level water tank, improvement of the access road and market roofing, and various other renovations and installations. Ultimately, this project will support more than a total of 3,000 vendors at the Uhuru Market.
